Roger's poem

Pearl of Peace

People dive down to the depths of the ocean,

hoping to obtain the perfect pearl of the world—peace.

No happiness, suffered by anxieties,

the war-beaten people can not stand any more.

The deep ocean is always dark,

the surging waves are waiting to swallow each coming explorer.

The people dive into the deep sea,

dreaming of the world with music and wine.

More and more people come, and join,

they dig up the hatchet to the sea.

Discarding the world with no rhythm of music,

they dive toward their harps of life.
