Parag Patre, Ph.D.
Parag Patre was born and raised in the central Indian city of Nagpur. He received his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) in Chennai in 2004. After this he worked as a Graduate Engineer Trainee for a year (2004-2005) at the Technology Center, Heavy Engineering Division of Larsen & Toubro Limited in Mumbai. Currently he is pursuing the Doctoral degree program in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, University of Florida in the Nonlinear Controls and Robotics (NCR) group under the advisement of Dr. Warren Dixon. His research focuses on Lyapunov-based design and analysis of a novel robust feedback control structure coined as the RISE feedback control. His other research interests include nonlinear adaptive control, neural networks, learning control, etc. In his spare time he enjoys language learning, reading, and playing cricket.
